Star Denies Anti-Vaccine Stance After Lending His Voice To Contentious Pandemic Film

The "Taken" star has given his voice to a new documentary that casts doubt on the efficacy of vaccinations and lauds ex- government figure Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Documentary's Contentious Origins

Titled "Plague of Corruption," the film is inspired by a well-known publication published by a disgraced researcher, who became famous during the pandemic for claims that Covid was linked to a faulty batch of the flu vaccine.

The book's writing partner, Kent Heckenlively, has previously authored books with controversial figure a known commentator. Heckenlively wrote online hailing Neeson's involvement in the film.

A Strong Rebuttal

The team of Liam Neeson have issued a comment pushing back against implications that he supports anti-vax views.

"We all recognize that corruption may occur within the medical sector, but that should never be conflated with rejection of vaccines," the statement explains. "He never has been, and is not, against vaccines. His extensive work with Unicef underscores his long-held support for global immunisation initiatives."

The response added that the actor did not shape the project's narrative and that questions about its claims should be directed to the producers.

Central Claims Within the Feature

As presented, the narration read by Neeson includes several provocative statements:

  • It claims that pro-immunization voices have insisted on "blind obedience" to public institutions.
  • It declares that "science has become dangerously politicised."
  • Robert F Kennedy Jr is featured stating, "The core flaw with vaccines is that they simply are not properly vetted."
  • The narration further attacks Covid lockdowns, claiming they caused mental anguish that led to the loss of thousands of lives.
  • Regarding pandemic shots, it mentions a perspective that they were "hurriedly approved" and seen as "hazardous tests."

Historical Controversy and Ongoing Debates

The documentary includes a historical film about HIV drug testing on children, which was later the subject of a BBC apology by the network for editorial breaches.

Last month, Kennedy directed the national health agency to change its long-held position that there is no causal relationship between vaccines and autism spectrum disorder. This assertion is repeated in the documentary, even with a recent study from the WHO reiterating no evidence has been found.

A Past Record of Advocacy

Differing from the film's message, Neeson has in the past expressed strong support for vaccines in his role as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

In 2022, he referred to vaccines as "a remarkable achievement," stating that "The conversation about vaccines in lately has forgotten how much benefit they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest collective achievements in our history."

The documentary concludes with Neeson's script stating, "This marks not the end of our story. It is the start of a different phase."
