Tehran reports attacking a US naval base in Bahrain, as Iran launched missile attacks across the region in response for a significant and continuing assault targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.

"Emirati air defenses responded to the projectiles with high efficiency and shot down a several projectiles," it added.

It said missile fragments fell on a neighborhood in the capital, causing some structural damage and killing a civilian.

The United States Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the UAE Air Force.
