In a unexpected crossover event that challenges usual expectations, the game developer has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Uncovered
According to the official release, "A mysterious meeting leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where whispers of prohibited practices and terrifying changes echo through the darkness." The narrative introduces a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a hidden group.
The adventure concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Changes
The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the captive, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Bonus Features
Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to multiple items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
